Dear Washington State High School Teachers,
How would you like to help your students learn critical thinking skills and practice their public speaking by participating in a live, statewide video conference? What if they could do that while learning about how the environment affects human health? And what if they had the support of a dedicated scientist mentor to help them design and conduct a research project? The 2008 TEAMS Project will allow you to do all these things and more!
Important TEAMS Project Dates:
January 11, 2008 - Deadline to submit the Teacher Application Form
January 17, 2008 - Teacher Orientation Video Conference
January/February 2008 - Scientist mentors matched with participating teachers and student teams, students conduct research projects
March 18, 2008 - Live video conference and virtual poster session at the annual Society of Toxicology meeting in Seattle
