MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & PRESIDENT

Dear Friends of EEAW:

With each passing day, there is increased frequency in the attention environmental and sustainability education are receiving, and EEAW is seizing upon the opportunity. EEAW helped to secure the Washington "No Child Left Inside" legislation which passed unanimously in both the House and Senate this spring. EEAW also is a partner in the effort to reauthorize the National EE Act and to ensure that the No Child Left Behind reauthorization includes funding and authorizations for EE (for more information on "No Child Left Inside" and the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind, click here).

In May, Gov. Gregoire signed the No Child Left Inside bill making over $1 million in funding available for outdoor education programs for underserved youths.
